John Hemming again

Businessman and council group leader John Hemming has been re-selected as Liberal Democrat Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Birmingham Yardley.

He was selected from a shortlist of four with over 80% of the votes cast.

West Midlands MEP Liz Lynne congratulated John on his re-selection.

She said: "Yardley is a key target seat for the Liberal Democrats and I am delighted John has been chosen as prospective parliamentary candidate."

"John is a dedicated councillor and campaigner on behalf of the people of Yardley as well as one of the Midlands' most successful business entrepreneurs.

"He is just the right person to lead the party's campaigns in this highly marginal constituency."
