West Midlands MEP and Rapporteur for the European Year for People with Disabilities 2003 Liz Lynne will be speaking at the AGM of the National Federation of Shopmobility UK this Saturday at the Quality Hotel, 20 Wolverhampton Road West, Bentley, Walsall at 11am.
She will be specifically speaking on the European Year for People with Disabilities 2003 and the implications it will have for organisations such as Shopmobility.
Liz will say, “The European Year will be an opportunity to put disabled people’s rights into the mainstream. It is intended to be run by people with disabilities themselves, not politicians and should be about celebrating the success of excellent schemes such as Shopmobility as well as highlighting how much further we have to go to make sure that disabled people are given the same rights as everyone else.”
