Liz wants simpler and more transparent regional government than at present.
West Midlands Euro-MP Liz Lynne is calling for greater inter-agency co-operation as a key part in the West Midlands' regional economic strategy.
Liz will be discussing the strategy with the Regional Development Agency - Advantage WM - on Friday morning as part of a wider consultation exercise.
Liz said:
"Across the West Midlands region we have literally dozens of agencies, quangos and local authorities - not to mention MPs, MEPs, other politicians and businesses themselves - all concerned with economic development, but we lack a clear overall structure to ensure that everyone is on the same page. We need to redouble efforts to ensure that no-one is duplicating effort and that the various organisations have a clear line of communication.
"Ultimately, our collective aim must be to ensure government across the West Midlands is as simple and transparent as possible in order to attract investment."
