Euro-MP Condemns Cowardly Attack On London

Commenting on the terrorist attacks in London, West Midlands Liberal Democrats Euro-MP Liz Lynne said:
"As someone who knows London very well, I know that Londoners will come through this. I would like to praise the emergency services for their quick response to this terrible incident. I am sure everyone in the West Midlands will offer their support to London in any way we can. We of course must be vigilant for any similar attacks elsewhere in the country and anyone who sees anything suspicious should report it.
"I utterly condemn those who use violence and take innocent civilian lives. The series of bomb attacks in London today can only be described as cowardly. There can be no justification for this and those responsible must be brought to justice.
"Whether or not the claims by Islamic extremists that they carried out the attack are true we must also remember that people of all faiths will be equally devastated by this attack.
"We heard the news while in Plenary in the European Parliament. Fellow MEPs from across the EU were quick to send messages of support and we all observed a minute's silence for the victims."
