Liz Lynne, Lib Dem MEP for the West Midlands, today gave her full backing to a campaign by Chambers of Commerce in Staffordshire to promote business and increase investment in the region.
The Euro-MP, a member of the European Parliament's Employment and Social Affairs Committee, was responding to the newly released Business Manifesto aimed at tackling the problems of under-investment, excessive regulations, and other barriers to business growth in the Staffordshire area.
Liz Lynne, who has for many years campaigned to ensure that UK businesses are not overburdened by needless legislation said:
"I am very happy to join with the North Staffordshire and Stafford Chambers of Commerce to support business activity in the Staffordshire region. I believe that their Business Manifesto will be of great help to local companies in keeping them informed of the ever changing local business environment."
"I would like to assure businesses that I will continue to do all that I can to fight unnecessary bureaucracy and red-tape at a European level."
"I look forward to working with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and other organisations to assist business growth across the whole of our region."
