LibDem campaigner Mish Whitmore and local residents will be joined by Euro MP Liz Lynne to launch their Parking Permit campaign to end the dangerous chaos choking residential streets in the Abbey Ward area of Nuneaton.
Liz Lynne will join Mish and a group of local residents and campaigners at one of the worst affected roads, Cooper Street, at 12 noon tomorrow, Friday August 31st.
Residents in the street contacted Mish and the local Focus team in desperation after the local Council failed to take action, despite several recent reports of ambulances being unable to get through the street due to the unregulated parking chaos, with cars belonging to commuters or other non-residents causing most of the problems.
Mish, a local shop manageress, said: "I am delighted Liz Lynne is coming to give this campaign a boost. Residents in this area are fed up of being ignored by the Council - we need a properly managed residents' parking scheme now."
Photographers welcome at 12 noon, Liz, Mish and local residents with placards will be in the area from 12 noon until 1pm if photographers need flexibility, please let Mish know.
