Liz Lynne at the march against the Iraq war 2003
Liz Lynne, along with all Liberal Democrats, has been a vocal campaigner against the ill-advised Iraq war waged that has cost thousands of lives and billions of pounds.
This war, which was started without International approval, and without a proper mandate from the UN security Council has since claimed the lives of over 90 000 Iraqi civilians.
To date the war has also killed over 150 British solider.
When in 2003 National MPs were asked to vote on whether to go to war Labour and Conservative members lined up to support the Government.
Liz Lynne believes that the Iraq war is a national scandal that has lowered our standing in the world, increased the risk of terrorist attacks and caused untold suffering for the Iraqi people.
Liz and the Liberal Democrats want to see those that voted for this horrendous conflict held to account.
